Visitors

General
Visitors are welcome to attend Burnley Club events on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Ask at the Pro shop and they will point you in our direction. We usually have reserved tee times on Saturday morning at 8:00am, though this can move occasionally, so check the home page. So if you see us at 7:45am or thereabouts we should be able to fit you in. We'll be the ones wandering around the practivce green in the green caps. Please note that we do have limited positions and members have precedence in allocating tee off times.

Please note that visitors may not enter the various club championships or win the V.G.L Medal events.

Visitors with Golflink handicaps
$2 compeition fee on Saturday will get you in the days competition including the NTP and Longest Drive competions. Golflink handicap will be updated afterwards. Please note that we do not run the NTP or Longest drive comps on V.G.L. Medal days.

Visitors are required to provide a Golflink number or official letter from their home club verifying current Australian handicap, prior to the competition starting. It is the responsibility of the visitor to know their correct handicap. If the player uses an incorrect handicap then, if the handicap higher than they were entitled, they will be disqualified. If they use a lower handicap than their official handicap the result will stand as is.

Visitors without Golflink handicaps
Visitors who do not have a Golflink number are also welcome to play in club competitions. For stableford, par and other events that rely on an index the visitor will play off a handicap determined by a member of the Match Committee.

Building Handicaps
For those who want to build their intial handicap, Burnley Golf Club can help. Please note that we provide this a service for members only and players are required to pay membership fees before the building process starts. For more information contact Tony Brotherton.
